Advert

Spring Grove School is well known for the high quality and inclusiveness of its music-making and drama, with a wide-ranging programme of concerts and productions throughout the year, and around 80% of pupils taking individual music lessons. We are now looking to appoint an outstanding and dynamic musician to nurture and develop this musical legacy.

The successful candidate will take on responsibility for directing music across the school, liaising with the Head, the Visiting Music Teachers and other teaching staff as necessary. This part-time post will include teaching class music (Reception to Year 6), managing the Visiting Music Teachers, organising musical events and productions in and out of school, and running small instrumental and vocal groups. Admin support for this post will be available from the School Office.  This is a part time role (0.5-0.6).

We would welcome applications from candidates who hold a teaching qualification or from good honours graduates who would like to work towards achieving this qualification. Candidates should demonstrate an excellent knowledge of music and a passion for working with young children, together with an ability to support the school’s aims and work co-operatively as part of our ‘family’ team.

Information about the school
