We are a co-educational Independent School looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Girls’ Physical Education, who can also teach another subject.  You will be joining our thriving and supportive Physical Education team.  The successful candidate will be able to enthuse and motivate students with a passion for Physical Education. The candidate must have a dynamic teaching style, presence and personality.  You will have excellent subject knowledge and will be able to cultivate enthusiasm and enjoyment of the subject with a clear focus on student achievement.

This is a Part-Time position for 2 days per week.  An exciting opportunity for an NQT or an experienced teacher who is committed to enabling our learners to achieve the very best they can and who is dedicated to their own professional development. The Gender for this position is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement to achieve a legitimate aim as defined within Equality Act 2010 [Sch. 9 para. 1].

To ensure the effective teaching of all pupils, helping them to develop both inside and outside the classroom.  Support the policies and aims of the School and ensure the good social, emotional and physical development of every child.  In addition to the generic description below, the Teacher of PE will be expected to have:

  • A good honours degree or equivalent QTS in PE and another discipline
  • Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the PE curriculum
  • An awareness of the impact that their subject can make to the whole school
  • Ability to teach to KS3 and KS4 level
