River Mill is looking to recruit a Site Manager, to join our new primary school in Dartford.    

The salary will be KR7 £23,500

The successful candidate will have:

  • Level 2/3 Diploma and/or equivalent experience
  • Member of the British Institute of Facilities Management or equivalent.
  • A NEBOSH or NVQ Level 4 Health and Safety qualification.
  • Car owner with clean licence
  • Previous relevant experience including supervisory experience.
  • Wider awareness of the related working environment eg. client groups.
  • Ability to identify changes required to work routines and act upon them in liaison with supervisors, clients and others as relevant.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely records as required by the role.
  • Ability to deal with everyday problems and to identify which problems should be referred to head teacher.
  • Ability to monitor job activities as required by the role.
  • Has the written and numeric skills to complete more detailed records and reports.
  • Ability to listen, observe and contribute to discussions as required for the role.
  • Knowledge and expertise in minor maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of financial/ordering/monitoring procedures as required.
  • Understands and is able to apply H&S procedures relevant to the job such as: Manual Handling, COSHH etc
  • Able to recognise and to deal with emergency situations.
  • Willingness to undertake training to keep knowledge up to date.
  • Ability to communicate using information technology as required for the role.

River Mill is a new free school that has opened in the centre of Dartford. We are part of Connect Schools Academy Trust, which is a MAT with six like-minded schools in Dartford, Tonbridge and Bromley. We will be Combining with Compass Academy Trust from September 2024. This enables us to deliver highly effective CPD opportunities and structure for professional development and career progression.
