Ethelbert Children's Services (ECS) provide Residential Care, Fostering, Specialist Education and Therapeutic Services, to children and young people who are unable to live with their own families. ECS has been establised for nearly 50 years, providing a holistic package of care for children who have experienced multiple losses, rejection, placement breakdown and have multiple needs.

We are currently recruiting for a Part-time Teacher, 15 - 18 hours per week, over a minimum of three days.  The post is a permanent contract to work with our KS1 and KS2 pupils, within our independent SEMH school; based at Eastry, near Sandwich, Kent.

The successful candidate will join the Education Department and become responsible, within the Primary School, for the teaching and development of mixed age and ability pupils.  Our curriculum is flexible and the teaching needs to be exciting and stimulating, in order to engage and educate our children.

As an individual, the successful candidate needs to be resilient, energetic, enthusiastic in creating a fun environment for our pupils to begin to enjoy education and start learning.

A good understanding of primary teaching, lesson planning and the National Curriculum for primary schools is essential.

Full references, including an enhanced DBS, will be in place before commencing employment with a proposed starting date of September 2020.
