River Mill are looking to recruit a breakfast and after school club manager and two breakfast and after school club assistants

Manager: Salary will be based on the Kent Rage 7 £22,581 (to be pro rata’d) and must have:

• Recognised qualification at least to NVQ level 3 or above, and preferably experience in running a play scheme or similar out of school provision.
• Some experience undertaking the administration involved in organising the provision and managing and delivering the service while it is in operation during Term.
• Current experience of working with 4-11 year olds in a play or primary education environment or experience of working in a breakfast and after school club setting

Assistants: Salary will be based on the Kent Rage 4 £18,129 (to be pro rata’d) and should:

• Be someone who enjoys working with children
• Have relevant qualifications, Level 2 qualification in either Childcare and Development or equivalent

For both roles you should:

• Be a good team player, flexible and prepared to use their initiative
• Have effective communication and organisational skills
• The ability to establish and maintain good relationships with all members of the school community
• Have positive and enthusiastic attitude to play.
• Have commitment to undertake training and continuous professional development.
• Be a positive, friendly and upbeat personality
• Have knowledge of child protection/safeguarding
• Be committed to their own professional development
• Be imaginative, fun, creative and very energetic
• Have good interpersonal skills
• Have good organisational skills

River Mill is a new free school that has opened in the centre of Dartford. We are part of Connect Schools Academy Trust, which is a MAT with six like-minded schools in Dartford, Tonbridge and Bromley. We will be Combining with Compass Academy Trust from September 2024. This enables us to deliver highly effective CPD opportunities and structure for professional development and career progression.
