The Role

The Ebbsfleet Academy is looking for a part-time Teacher Cover Supervisor to join their vibrant and dedicated community. We require the successful candidate to be able to confidently supervise a class during the short-term absence of a teacher. You will be expected to lead the lesson using instructions set by the class teacher / department, warrant the good behaviour of the students, and ensure that they engage in the learning activity.

On occasion, you may be required to plan and mark student work for longer term absences, and this will be under the guidance and support from leaders, in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning policy.

This role would be ideal for candidates wishing to gain valuable classroom experience; possibly as a precursor to teacher training or studying for a classroom support qualification. It would equally suit an individual who believes in the power of education and wishes to contribute to the lives of young people.

Suitable candidates will be contacted as soon as possible.

Salary:  Pro Rata £11,772 - £12,664

Hours: 27 ½ per week term time only plus 2 CPD days
