We are currently looking for a teaching assistant to join us as soon as possible. This position will be for 31.20 hours per week term time only until July 2021.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of two years experience of being a teaching assistant.
  • Have worked 1:1 with children with specific learning, physical or social need.
  • Be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Have high expectations of pupil behaviour.

The role will be to support the teaching staff in the teaching and welfare of the children so as to foster their physical, intellectual and emotional growth. You will be responsible for one to one work and whole class support.

Only applicants with an NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent will be considered for interview.

Shears Green Infant School is part of the Hornchurch Academy Trust which is a family of six schools based in both the London Borough of Havering and Kent.

It is a large Infant school in Northfleet just off of the A2. We have lovely outdoor learning areas including our Reception outside learning area, Year 1 outside learning area and large forest school area.

As a feeder school to Shears Green Junior School, strong relationships and transition arrangements ensure children are able to successfully move to the next stage of their education journey.

Starting in EYFS, school ensures children are settled to succeed by delivering a high quality and inclusive education offer within a nurturing environment.
