Are you a keen infant practitioner either just starting out or experienced? Would you like to join an established school with a great team? If so we need you to apply to work with our amazing pupils from September.

Our School can offer you great facilities, in a building that is well catered for and resourced. Our experienced Senior Team will support you as you make the change to working with us and ensure you have the information you need for a great transition.

We have a proven track record of getting NQTs through their first year and beyond and if you are coming to us with experience then we have helped career minded staff into deputy headship, headship and many other leadership roles. Perhaps you could take the lead for religious education; if so you can go to the top of our list but if not we have other areas you could help in.

Tours are more than welcomed and you would get to see our great school in action on a busy day.

Come and see us soon.....!

Welcome to St. George’s Church of England Primary School. As a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School, we lead the community by following the teachings of Christ through holistically ensuring excellence for all. Through our happy, secure and stimulating environment all members of the school community grow in self-esteem and potential. Their spiritual, academic and social needs are celebrated as part of daily life.

We are a successful school with a strong Christian ethos set in the delightful Minster area with close links to Minster Abbey our local church.

The staff and governors of the school are committed to providing all pupils with a secure and caring environment in which they develop lively and enquiring minds, confidence and skills. Our record of accomplishment is exemplified in consistently good attainment for our children. The staff and governors of the school aim to provide the children with an education that is broadly based and tailored to meet the children’s individual needs. We provide a caring and happy positive atmosphere in which a child may fulfil his/her potential and grow in self-confidence and respect for the people and environment around them.

We are committed to the ideal of a partnership in education between home and school and, to this end, prospective parents are invited to visit the school and meet the staff and children. Home learning actively celebrates this partnership during celebration events.

We take every opportunity to celebrate our School with photos and pictures in the local press and our own social media pages. You can follow us on our page on Facebook. Please check our website for regular updates.
