We are seeking to appoint a member of staff to join our Science Department from September 2020. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is an enthusiastic, talented and passionate teacher of Science. The successful candidate will be motivated and committed to working as part of a team, have relevant, up-to-date subject knowledge and be committed to ensuring students make exceptional progress. The department offers GCSE Combined Science Trilogy to all students and A level Biology. Applications from NQT’s would be welcomed.

We have an ambitious vision for our school driven by our excellent team to ensure our students experience as much Outstanding and Good practice as possible. In line with this, we are looking for a candidate who can regularly deliver lessons to these standards.

Information about the school

The Abbey School is a wide ability 11-19 Academy of 1,120 students, with over 180 students in the sixth form. We are also an IB World School and offer the IBCP (International Baccalaureate Careers Programme). We are currently oversubscribed in year 7 and have a very positive team with high staff morale.

The school is situated on the rural outskirts of the small market town of Faversham. We aim to provide the highest quality value-added education and excellent pastoral care for all students to ensure they feel secure and valued.
