River Mill is looking to recruit two full time dedicated and highly motivated teaching assistants to join our new primary school in Dartford.

The salary will be Kent Range 5 £18,704 full time equivalent (£12,548 pro rata)

The full-time roles will be 38 weeks per year from 8.40-3.10pm Monday to Friday

This role could be combined with a Breakfast and After School Club Manager (Kent Range 7) or Breakfast and After School Club assistant role (Kent Range 4) currently being advertised.

 The successful candidate will have: 

  • Experience of working with Early Years and KS1 children
  • Level 2 qualification in either Childcare and Development or equivalent
  • Demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills in order to assist the teacher in delivering lessons
  • Experience of leading small intervention groups
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years and KS1 curriculum
  • Some experience of working with children with autism across the spectrum
  • A positive, friendly and upbeat personality
  • At least one year of experience working with children
  • Knowledge of child protection/safeguarding
  • Individuals who are proactive and flexible
