Playworker at our After School Club:

Do you care passionately about children, their well-being and achievements? Would you like to be involved in providing a stimulating play-based environment?

We are looking for a dedicated playworker to cover four days a week, Monday to Thursday, who is friendly and flexible, and committed to the development of our children.

The hours of work are 3.00pm to 6.15pm daily (13.00 hrs), term time only.

The salary is part time, 43 weeks per year, pro rata (£17,364 for a full time salary). If you have any questions regarding the salary, please ask!

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS check.

Information about the school

Chartham Primary is situated in a rural setting in the large village of Chartham. The school is currently moving to two-form entry permanently from September 2020 and has a roll of approximately 350.

We have extensive playing fields and plenty of space for outdoor learning and forest school activities. We also have a school radio station.

We pride ourselves in providing an enriched curriculum for our pupils in a fully inclusive environment. Our staff team are committed to providing the best possible education for each child and working in partnership with parents. We are proud to hold the IQM award for Inclusion and had a very successful Ofsted inspection in October 2019.

Chartham Primary School and St Stephen's Infant School have shared Executive Leadership arrangements with the Executive Headteacher, School Business Manager and HR Officer working across the two schools.
