North West Kent Alternative Provision Service is looking to appoint and develop an

New premises and the further broadening of our curriculum has resulted in new vacancies.

At the forefront of our criteria are the ability to be positive, a can-do attitude, a resilient personality and a creative and flexible approach to teaching that builds success through challenge, personalisation and innovation.

Your role will be to maintain the high standards of behaviour the school expects by following the school's behaviour policy.

You will be a strong rapport builder who can quickly build relationships and trust with students and teachers.

To be considered you do not need any specific qualifications, but the following attributes are desirable.

  • Relevant experience working with children
  • Experience working with special educational needs
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with pupils and staff
  • Strong communication skills

 

NWKAPS has been on an exciting journey and now boasts a staff team of dedicated leaders and teaching professionals who have the skill-set and enthusiasm to ensure that the quality of education provision offered by the services reaches excellence.

We now boast a breadth of teaching expertise which includes subject specialists and those with the ability to teach with a discreet focus upon well-being and cognitive and social/emotional development. Part of our crucial role is to ensure that our students develop in to confident young people, master strategies and improve their emotional well-being before continuing to their chosen destination.

We pride ourselves in offering bespoke curriculum pathways for students who have disengaged from mainstream education and are selected as more suitable for destination based learning in small class sizes.

The North West Kent Alternative Provision Service is a Pupil Referral Unit based in Gravesend. The school delivers interventions and Alternative Curriculum pathways for pupils who have disengaged from mainstream education

At NWKAPS we aim to provide a nurturing, inspirational learning environment where aspirational, individual pathways are created. We are committed to developing a service which aims to ensure that extensive specialist interventions empower pupils to successfully reintegrate in to mainstream education or continued education, training or employment
