Information about the school

The Children's Workshop is a friendly and happy preschool for children aged 2-4 years, based in a purpose-built building nestled in the beautiful woodland at the edge of Knole Park. The setting has 2 rooms 2-3yrs and 3-4years and a large outdoor space which is a focus for learning and play.

We are term time only (39 weeks) and have an experienced team of practitioners with a genuine passion for working with children. The preschool is a charity and governed by a Committe of Trustees with an Office Manager that supports the Manager and team, trustees and families.

At The Children's Workshop we promote children's rights to be strong, resilient and listened to by creating an environment in our setting that encourages children to develop a positive self-image which reflects their heritage. We strive to understand HOW a child learns more than WHAT a child learns. We feel this knowledge supports us best in creating a more holistic picture of the child as a learner. We work together, children, staff, parents, carers and the wider community to ensure our children learn and have FUN in a nurturing environment that allows them to EXPLORE the world they live in and build happy friendships and memories.
