HEAD OF HISTORY AND POLITICS

Required for September 2020 – or earlier if possible

We wish to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Head of History and Politics who is committed to raising the achievements of our students.

Highworth Grammar School is an over-subscribed 11 – 18, selective Girls’ school of 1519 students with 448 students in the Sixth Form (87 boys).  We are situated in the South East of England, with excellent transport links to both the rest of Kent and London. 

The school was judged to be Outstanding in all areas in June 2013.  Last summer our A Level results placed us in top 10% of schools nationally. 

This post would suit an ambitious, experienced teacher with middle management aspirations who would enjoy working in a supportive and successful school. The successful candidate will be suitably qualified, will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for the subject and will enjoy teaching their subject to a high level, including GCSE and A level.
