An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and committed SENDCO to join Sir Henry Fermor CE Primary School working as part of the Senior Leadership team.  

Sir Henry Fermor is a two form entry school in a diverse community. We are a school steeped in history with strong church links, and we are committed to ensuring there is a distinctive Christian ethos woven transparently through all that we achieve. We were graded ‘GOOD’ in February 2019 by Ofsted and ‘GOOD’ by SIAMS in July 2019.

 We are looking to appoint a SENDCo with high expectations and the belief that they can inspire all children to achieve, regardless of barriers.  The ideal candidate will be someone who believes as we do, that no child should be left behind and all children are entitled to access a full and rich curriculum.

 The successful candidate will need to:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner  
  • Have a proven record of leadership skills and strong SEND experience
  • Have a passion for children’s learning and development to enable all children to achieve.
  • Have a desire to achieve and raise standards  
  • Be a committed team member 
  • Support the Christian ethos and values of our school
  • Have the ability to engage the whole school and wider community
