Nonington CE Primary School is seeking an Administration & Finance Officer for our small village school. The position is permanent, 37 hours per week, term time only. 

The successful candidate would carry out the adminsitrative activities of the Nonington office and the day to day financial tasks of both Federation Offices. Our budget setting and monthly monitoring is currently provided by SFS, but the school would consider a KR7 position including this task for a suitable candidate.

You will have:

  • A GCSE (or equivalent) C or better in English and Mathematics
  • Experience of working in an office setting
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to achieve deadlines.
  • Keyboard skills applied with precision and speed
  • Computer literacy

And for consideration for the KR7 position:

  • Ability to monitor and process accurate financial records.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial procedures sufficient to be able to maintain accounts, produce financial reports, advise on variances.
  • Knowledge of KCC Financial Regulations and understand other relevant school policies.
  • Knowledge of the School’s Record Retention Policy and freedom of information protocols of awareness of the requirement for this policy and protocol.

Interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.Staff will be expected to have an awareness of and work within national legislation and school policies and procedures relating to Safeguarding and Health & Safety.

The Federation of Goodnestone and Nonington comprises of two small Church of England Primary Schools in neighbouring villages. Both schools retain their unique identities, under the leadership of one Governing Body and one Headteacher.

Nonington CE Primary School is a small rural primary school, close to Aylesham. The school has recently had a brand new 2 classroom extension. We benefit from extensive grounds in the quiet of the countryside which enables our children to experience learning opportunities in a wonderful, natural environment. The school has a small roll of 44 pupils, currently organised into three classes. We are proud of our inclusive culture and work hard to nurture and support all of those in our school community. Goodnestone CE Primary School is situated in a beautiful rural setting, with access to a fantastic woodland area which is used to support the children's learning. The school has a small roll of 54 pupils which is currently organised into four classes. We have a range of pupils with SEN and staff who are well placed to meet their needs. the inclusive ethos of the school ensures that all are nurtured and cared for.
