  • Greenfields Community Primary School is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable support worker for our extended provision. We are seeking candidates who have experience of extended schools provision, providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children. Experience working with children is essential.
  • It is preferred that you hold a C grade or above at GCSE in English and Maths.
  • It is desirable that the sucessful candidate holds a level 3 qualification related to Early Years.
  • The working hours will be 7.15am-9.15am and 2.30pm-6pm every school day, term time only. The clubs run from 7.15am-8.45am and 3.15pm-6pm each day.
  • Visits to school are highly recommended.

 

The successful candidate will 

  • Fully commit to working alongside the Extended Schools Manager team to ensure the best possible provision for all children.
  • Be accountable for our breakfast and after school clubs and will be responsible for resource ordering, activity planning and food preparation. This role will report directly to the Extended Schools Manager.
  • Support the development of relevant polices and practice.
  • Promote the school’s core values at all times (Wellbeing, Aspiration, Resilience, Uniqueness and Teamwork).
  • Be a passionate play practitioner who enjoys using creative and innovative approaches to play activities.
  • Work closely and build effective relationships with parents and carers.

Information about the school

Greenfields is an oversubscribed one and a half form entry Community Primary School with 3 nursery classes. The school is situated in South Maidstone on a large site with amazing facilities.

We have designed our own curriculum to meet the needs of our children. This includes dedicated enrichment funding and use of the school’s minibuses to bring our curriculum to life e.g. regular trips to London, Harry Potter Studios, chances to explore all areas of Kent and much more!

We have become well known for our dedication to PE and school sport and are proud to have set up sporting opportunities for children across Maidstone. This has been recognised by us receiving the Platinum Sports Award.
