Part time Temporary

1:1 Teaching assistant

From January 2020 to July 2020

10 hours per week term time only (1pm-3pm each day)

Paid on Kent Range 3

We are looking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant to join our fantastic team. We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to support a child with specific educational needs, enabling them to access learning and develop social skills. The child you would be assisting has an educational health care plan and bespoke targets which you would be working towards. You will be well supported and receive appropriate training.  

We are looking to appoint that special person who is:

  • An outstanding, enthusiastic practitioner committed to a child centred approach to teaching
  • A hands on imaginative approach to all aspects of teaching and learning which inspires and motivates learning
  • Dedicated to excellence, inclusion and raising standards and has high expectations

  • Able to foster and maintain positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parent/carers
  • Determined to make a difference

We are a designated National Teaching School and member of the Canterbury Coastal Alliance, working together with 16 local schools to ensure the sharing of expertise and continuing professional development. We are committed to the development of all of our staff and encourage all staff to be reflective practitioners dedicated to improving their own learning.
