Ightham Primary School is seeking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant who has experience of supporting and enabling learning in the Primary School Environment. The post is term time only and will be in Year 4 in the first instance. Working days will be Monday and Tuesday. Please note this is not negotiable as this is required to meet the needs of the school. Core hours will be from 8.30am to 3.30pm. 

We run a Breakfast Club throughout term time, and an ability to work from 7.45am on both days will be a distinct advantage to help us run this club.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • flexibility and commitment in their work with the children
  • Experience (either voluntary or paid) of working in a primary school
  • A good knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
  • Experience of working with pupils 1:1 and small groups

Ightham Primary School is situated in an idyllic rural setting and caters for up to 210 pupils accommodated in seven classes. We place the children, who are well behaved and motivated, at the heart of everything that we do. They benefit from many opportunities to take part in the excellent range of academic, physical and creative activities that we offer, both during and at the end of the school day.

We received an Ofsted inspection in March 2020 and the school was graded as outstanding in all areas.
