We are looking to recruit an Apprentice IT Support Technician to support the IT Assistant Network Manager in the installation and maintenance of ICT and related equipment within Spires Academy.  This will include the general maintenance of computer, audio-visual and other related equipment and the resolution of identified technical problems.

The primary objective is to make sure students and staff are able to get the best out of the resources available, and the ICT systems are maintained to the highest standards possible.

The hours of work are 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday-Thursday 8.30 am - 4.00 Friday.  This is an all year round post.

You will work towards achieving the Level 3 IT Infrastructure Technician qualification.

Core responsibilities will involve:

 

  • Assist with the maintenance and management of all IT systems across the Academy
  • Provide 1st line support across the school whilst gaining exposure to industry standard technologies.
  • Promote the school’s use of technology to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
  • Maintaining common hardware found in school; install applications and trouble shoot basic problems
  • Carry out basic safety checks and to contribute to the maintenance of a safe and secure learning environment
