Teaching Assistant

Salary Scale: Pilgrims’ Way Primary School KR 3 – £17,365 (pro rata £11,164.09)

28 3/4 hours per week (8.45am – 3.15pm daily)

(Temporary for 12 months, term time only)

Do you have a desire to work in a forward thinking school that thrives on making a difference in children’s lives? Do you have a thirst for learning and are ready to take on an exciting challenge?

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our KS1 Team. The position is on a temporary contract in the first instance and is to start as soon as possible. Experience in working with children who need personalised support would be beneficial. You will be working alongside our vibrant team in support of Special Educational Needs, fully supported by our SENCo. The post is for five days per week for 28 3/4 hours – temporary for 12 months, term time only.

We are a very caring school with effective structures to support staff in their roles across the school who have been under the new leadership of Veritas Multi Academy Trust since May 2018. We encourage all our staff to be active in their training and development and will support you in your new post at our wonderful school.

The school is situated in the beautiful city of Canterbury, benefitting from many excellent cultural opportunities. We have wonderful grounds, including a forest school. Learning outside the classroom is a school priority.
