We are looking to appoint a part-time teaching assistant for up to 20 hours a week. The role would be very varied and involve working in mainly in KS2,  supporting children with SEN and working with groups of children.

The successful candidate must have a good standard of English (written and spoken) and Maths to enable them to model and support appropriately, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. We are seeking a good team player who has a friendly, caring rapport with children. 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • an understanding of the need to adapt and plan activities based on a child's level of development and interests
  • a readiness to learn new skills - we will provide training opportunities
  • flexibility in approaching tasks
  • positivity and a "can-do" attitude to supporting children

St Lawrence C.E. Primary is a popular, oversubscribed, rural school consisting of 4 classes.

The school is set in idyllic surroundings and has a strong sense of community spirit and a caring family atmosphere. We have particular strengths in the arts, forest school, outdoor learning and a child focused ethos. We are very proud to be a church school with embedded Christian values and we enjoy strong relationships with our local church.

We have a stable and experienced staff team. Staff morale is high and staff turn-over is low.
