The school seeks to appoint a motivated and skilled teacher to cover maternity leave from January 2020. Applications are particularly welcome from teachers with experience of working in Key Stage 2, although other applicants will most certainly be considered. 

The contract will either be fixed-term, covering the current teacher’s maternity leave, or permanent, depending on the wishes and experience of the successful applicant. Applications should clarify, on the application form, which contract they would prefer to fulfil.

Information about the school

Vigo Village School has five classes, some of which are mixed-age, and numbers roughly 135 children. It lies in a delightful rural position on the North Downs escarpment, easily reached from the M20 and the A2. The successful candidate will be welcomed both by our happy and well-behaved children and our supportive and friendly teaching and learning team.
