We wish to appoint an enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. We are looking for a TA with flexibility, experience in learning support and the ability to contribute to our school’s community and vision. The successful applicant will be sensitive to children’s varying needs but be able to work under the guidance of the teaching team, Inclusion Manager and Leadership Team. This post may involve working 1:1 and with a small group to support a child’s learning.
The successful candidate will:
Have relevant qualifications NVQ 2 and 3 in childcare and learning (level 2 only may be acceptable if a willingness to work towards NVQ3 can be demonstrated) and experience in a school;
Supporting groups of children in achieving the lesson objectives in English, Maths and across all areas of the curriculum;
Feeding back to the class teacher, keeping records of progress and behaviour;
Supporting the social, emotional, behavioural and medical needs of the pupil(s);
Communicating with parents;
Preparing resources and some administrative work;
Displaying children's work creatively.
One year contract that will be reviewed at the end of the year, following staff restructure.
It is a full time appointment (27.5hrs per week, term time only and INSET), 8.55 am to 3.25am, Monday to Friday
