We are seeking to appoint a mid-day supervisor who will have the ability to work effectively and enthusiastically as part of a team and be able to engage with the children whilst ensuring their safety and wellbeing. You will need excellent communication skills and have the ability to create a positive environment. Good time management and ability to use own initiative is essential.

If you enjoy working with children and would like to work in a friendly primary school then this could be the role for you.

We would expect the successful candidate to have a firm but fair approach whilst being patient and understanding.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  1. To supervise pupils during mealtimes

  2. To supervise outdoor play activities (indoors in bad weather)

  3. To prevent accidents, where possible, and provide basic first aid or seek help from a designated first aider, according to the Health and Safety Policy.

The post is from 12 noon to 1.15pm daily during term time only.

St Nicholas CE Primary Academy, as part of Aquila, The Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust, is situated in the heart of New Romney, set in beautiful surroundings and is well resourced to meet the needs of its 14 classes and 350 children, in this well-maintained school recently judged GOOD with Outstanding features by OFSTED (May 2019).
