Temporary contract for a year.

Term time only (no INSET days).

Part time:- 2 days a week (Thursday and Friday) 11hours per week 38 weeks.

Wrotham Road Primary School is looking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant who has the ability to inspire, nurture and support our well-motivated pupils.We are looking for someone with a recognised qualification as an Early Year Practitioner or extensive experience in the Early Years who enjoys working with children. 

A formal qualification as an Early Years TA qualification or QTS would be an advantage and extensive experience is essential. Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential.

 

The ideal candidate will be a well organised practitioner who is able to use their own initiative and also be able to work as part of a team. You will be flexible in your approach, completely reliable and always enthusiastic and positive.

 

Having a good working knowledge of the National Curriculum in the Early Years and KS1 would be a great advantage. Empathy and an ability to establish good working relationships with staff, parents and pupils are essential.

 

Necessary Experience:

  • Formal qualification as a teaching assistant or QTS
  • Extensive experience in the Early Years
  • Good standard of education (GCSE English and Maths)
  • Strong ICT skills
  • The ability to take responsibility for small intervention groups and, on occasion, whole classes for short periods of time is required.

Desirable Experience:  

  • Previous experience as a TA in the Early Years
  • First Aid Qualification
