Hours – 37 hours per week for 40 weeks per year

The Abbey School is looking to appoint a fulltime Attendance Manager to start at the beginning of the new academic year. The successful candidate will be required to build up positive relationships with students and parents, ensuring any absence is addressed quickly, and all records are accurate.

Previous experience of working with secondary school students would be an advantage but is not essential. Candidates should possess good interpersonal skills, balancing a calm manner, high expectations and genuine care for students. 

The post will involve carrying out all administrative tasks associated with the recording, management and monitoring of attendance. Through the monitoring of the data, you will support in the implementation of a range of strategies with key stakeholders, be responsible for helping to raise attendance within the school. On a daily basis, you will be in contact with students, various members of staff, parents and external agencies.

The Abbey School is a mixed secondary school with a thriving population of over 1200 students. We believe that school should be a place where young people can discover and develop their own talents.
