Do you have a belief and determination that you can make a difference?

Are you an outstanding, highly motivated and inspiring Teaching Assistant who can engage and support children to reach their full potential? If you are then we have the role for you.

St. Richard's Catholic Primary School is a Good School as judged by Ofsted in our last inspection and is part of the Kent Catholic School Partnership (KCSP). We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, who wishes to develop their skills in our increasingly successful, and popular school that is at the heart of a supportive Catholic community.

We offer an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on raising standards and providing creative opportunities which allow pupils to learn and achieve. We are looking to appoint someone who is able to inspire our young learners, working with energy and enthusiasm.  This role will involve you working across the whole school, supporting pupils in class and more importantly on a one to one basis. Therefore, you will have excellent communication skills and be a strong team player to allow pupils to reach their goals.  Knowledge and experience of working with children with ASD is desirable.

We ask that you are educated to GCSE grade B or above in Maths and English together with a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. This is a fixed term position of 27.25 hours per week, term time only plus Staff Development Days until the 31st August 2020. The post involves lunchtime duty.

In return we can offer you an exciting, well organised, vibrant environment in which to work, with an experienced, committed and ambitious team to support you.

We strongly encourage visits to the school and these can be arranged by contacting Andy Gretton along with obtaining an application pack (if required) from the school by calling 01304 201118 or emailing agretton@st-richards.kent.sch.uk.

Closing date for applications: Monday 10th June 2019 at 9am.

Interviews will take place: TBC

Any offer of employment is subject to our Safeguarding checks, including satisfactory return of an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, receipt of satisfactory references, verification of your entitlement to work in the UK and a pre-employment health clearance.

The academy is proud of all members of the community, especially the children. They are happy, loving and lively; always ready to welcome and full of fun. Governors work hard to support the school community, sharing their skills and monitoring all aspects of school life.

The work of the school is based on six Gospel Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Forgiveness, Respect and Hope.

There are two simple school rules: Love yourself and those around you and Act safely
