This is a great opportunity to be part of a fantastic primary school, an Academy sponsor school, starting from September 2019.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated HLTA for Sport to join our team of hardworking, friendly and supportive staff. This role would suit somebody who is/has been an experienced Cover Supervisor/HLTA, and is for 32 hours per week spread over 5 days (between 9.00am and 4.15pm depending on the school timetable), term-time only. This role will include planning and delivering sport sessions during PPA, attending sports competitions with pupils and leading after school clubs.The post is primarily term-time, with an agreed amount of hours for Holiday Club provision.

The successful candidate will:-

~ be a PE specialist, sports coach, or have experience of leading sport in school

~ have experience of working with pupils across KS1 and KS2

~ be flexible to allow for pupil participation in sports competitions

~ recognise that the welfare, wellbeing and education of the child is paramount

~ be willing to train as a minibus driver

Information about the school

We are a large and successful primary school, which converted to a stand alone Academy in April 2012. We operate under Hampton Collaborative Trust allowing the freedom to grow and develop with our community needs at the forefront of all decisions.

We are an inclusive, caring and constantly improving school with an exceptionally strong collaborative staff team. Our current roll is 670 children with 3 classes per year group, group teaching in KS2 to facilitate smaller class provision, a purpose built on-site nursery and a strong Well-Being Team, FLO, Play Therapist and Emotional Well-Being practitioner to provide the support and nurture for our most vulnerable children.

We are in the process of creating an additional learning environment for identified children typically with EHCPs to support their access to the curriculum as well as supporting their emotional and social development.

Our current SEND is 15% and we are constantly signposted within the local authority for our excellent SEND provision. We are also incredibly excited to be in the process of developing an ASC SRP provision to further support and nurture our SEND children.
