Are you able to inspire creativity in others? Do you have the determination and expectations to achieve excellence? Do you understand the importance of developing resilience?

These three words are at the core of the vision and values of the school and underpin our exciting and child-led school curriculum.

Bridge & Patrixbourne CEP School is looking to appoint a teacher who can not only inspire their children also their colleagues. The post will initially be in Year 5 or 6 but the flexibility to teach across the Key Stage would be desirable.

Part-time would be considered (3 days a week) to work with an existing P/T teacher as a job share.

The staff, children and parents are rightly proud of Bridge & Patrixbourne CEP School and we all work together to ensure that our children get the very best education.

In return we can offer you:

  • A superb environment in which to work;
  • Pupils who show excellent behaviours for learning;
  • High calibre colleagues with which you would learn with and from;
  • Opportunities for professional development;
  • A staff-room which always seems to have cake;

And most importantly:

  • Pritt-sticks (real ones, not those fake ones from the Kent catalogue!)

We would welcome applicants to contact the school to arrange a viewing with a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

Our school & all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Information about the school

Our school vision is based upon Jesus’ words: “I am the vine, you are the branches. If you abide in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.” (John 15:5) which speaks of how we live and grow together as a Christian community.

We provide opportunities for everyone to flourish and grow within the love of God. Guided by the teachings of Jesus, we cultivate creativity, excellence, and resilience, inspiring pupils and staff to develop their unique gifts and become the best versions of themselves. We aim to equip our diverse community to make a positive difference in the world.

Our core values of Service, Forgiveness, Trust, Generosity and Compassion were chosen to underpin this vision for our school.

Our vision highlights the importance of staying connected to a source of strength and guidance. Similarly, children need support from their families, teachers, and communities to thrive academically. Just as branches draw sustenance from the vine, children draw strength and inspiration from their support systems, enabling them to succeed and bear fruit in their educational journey.

The school also has strong links with the local church and the children are taught our Christian Values of compassion, trust, generosity, forgiveness and service. All children, staff, parents and governors display these values in the way that they interact and behave towards each other.

Our semi-rural location, approximately 3 miles from Canterbury, means that we benefit from beautiful natural surroundings which enhance our school curriculum offer. The school prides itself on the opportunities we provide the children in music, art and sports as well as high attainment and achievement in our development of the whole child.
