We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the children and to enable them to make the best use of the educational opportunities available at St. Ethelbert’s. This will be as a class based teaching assistant.

Applicants must be able to support the Catholic life and ethos of the school, have good numeracy and literacy skills and/or an NVQ or equivalent related to the post. Experience of working with children is vital.

St. Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery is committed to recruiting with care in order to safeguard the welfare of pupils. We expect all staff and volunteers to share that commitment. The position is for 28.75 hours per week for 38 weeks. 30 minutes lunch time supervision is included in the hours. KR3 pro rata full time equivalent.

St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School is a one form entry school set in the heart of the Georgian town of Ramsgate, Kent, just a short walk from the beaches overlooking the English Channel. The school had its last Ofsted Inspection in June 2019 and is rated Good. It had a denominational inspection in May 2023 and is rated Outstanding. Our staff and governors are hard-working, caring, supportive and friendly and the children are very well behaved. With our church being on the school site we are building strong links with our local community. Our school motto is ‘High Expectations for all, in the Light of Christ’.
