Due to the continuing development and expansion of this ‘outstanding’ School (OFSTED July 2015), GGS are looking to appoint an experienced Languages graduate to join our highly successful and very popular Languages Department. We are interested in someone who will contribute positively to the full range of teaching in this 11 – 18 selective school.

We seek:

• A qualified languages teacher, specialising in Spanish, able to teach to A-level
• An outstanding classroom practitioner who is flexible, enthusiastic and innovative
• Excellent subject knowledge and a rigorous approach to assessment and learning
• A committed team-member who will be willing to contribute to the wider School activities
• The ability to teach French to KS4 would be an advantage
• The ability to offer clubs and clinics in another language would be an advantage

Information about the school: Gravesend Grammar School is an 11-18 selective boys grammar school with girls admitted to the Sixth Form. The most recent Ofsted Inspection (June 2015) judged the School as ‘Outstanding’. We became an Academy on 1st August 2011 as part of The Decus Educational Trust (TDET). The school is currently going through a period of expansion. We have built a 10 million pound facility to accommodate the additional students. We will continue to rise year on year until we admit 1500 students (7 forms of entry). This is a really exciting time in the history of the school and has the potential to provide succession opportunities for colleagues that want to progress in their careers.
