Kent Range 4 - £14,834 - £15,584 (£17,189 - £18,058 FTE)

37 hours/week, 40 weeks/year (Term-time only + 1 week during school holidays)

 

The Malling School is increasingly becoming the first choice school for parents. As a result we are currently oversubscribed.

 

We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our busy and friendly office team. The successful candidate will perform a key role within the office team, working closely with the Headteacher’s PA/Office Manager and the other Office Administrator, to ensure the smooth running and efficiency of the office.

 

The ideal candidate will be a flexible team-player with excellent interpersonal skills and have the confidence to deal with public enquiries in a professional manner and to respect confidential information relating to staff, students and families.

 

ESSENTIAL

 

  • The ability to deal with public enquiries in a professional manner and to respect confidential information relating to staff, pupils and families
  • A calm manner to deal with all situations
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent organisational ability
  • Excellent typing skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Outlook and Word
  • The ability to work with colleagues as part of a team, to be flexible, adaptable and to multi-task
  • Level 2 Maths & English
  • Awareness of GDPR

 

DESIRABLE:

  • Knowledge and experience of using SIMS
  • Experience of working with secondary age children

Information about the school

A mixed 11-19 co-educational High School of 1000 pupils serving the historic market town of West Malling and surrounding villages. The school is set in pleasant rural surroundings and has its own lake and extensive grounds. It was completely re-built in September 2007 and therefore has outstanding facilities.

West Malling is close to the county town of Maidstone and has excellent rail links to London and Ashford International (for the Continent).
