Details about the post

We are looking for a passionate, reliable, inquisitive teacher of History who can see the infinite possibilities in all our students.

History is taught across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5; and is one of our most popular option choices at KS4 and 5.  Candidates must be able to teach History at Key Stages 3 and 4 and candidates who are also able to teach History at Key Stage 5 will be at a distinct advantage.

Astor is an outward facing school with a wide range of professional development opportunities.  We are a designated Teacher Development Trust Regional CPD Hub, and we are also involved in local Teaching and Learning networks with the other secondary schools in the area.  We have a long history of growing our own teachers, with lots of potential to develop into middle leadership roles.
