Hours: 37 hours per week - 2 shifts per day - Momday to Friday - hours to be negotiated

Wilmington Primary School is a friendly and welcoming school with well behaved children. We are looking to welcome an enthusiastic, conscientious reliable and self-motivated caretaker to our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join highly supportive group of dedicated people. 

Experience of undertaking a high standard of decoration, general repairs, and maintenance of furnishings, fittings, buildings and knowledge of plumbing would be a significant advantage. You will be responsible for the security of the premises, general maintenance work and repairs, health and safety issues relating to the building and porterage duties. It is essential that you are capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment, materials and furniture, and able to climb ladders. You would also be responsible for cleaning the building and there would be no other additional cleaners employed.
 
There will need to be a degree of flexibility around certain key events in the school calendar, eg parents evenings, governing body meetings, school fairs etc.

Information about the school

We are a one form entry primary school at the centre of Wilmington village. The school is very welcoming with motivated and well behaved children, an enthusiastic and friendly staff team, dedicated and supportive governors and many willing parents who give time and energy to provide financial, social and academic enrichment across the curriculum. The building has many break out spaces and a large tree lined, landscaped field. The school is a stand-alone academy with a spacious hall, 30 computer station ICT suite and a creative room to help drive our belief in providing a stimulating creative curriculum linking English and maths across the wide range of subject themes. The Ofsted inspection of June 2015 was graded good. A good staff work-life balance is a school priority.
