We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our friendly team.

Your administrative support will assist the general school office and reception as well as the Special Educational Needs team, giving you plenty of variety to your working day and helping you develop a wider range of skills.

  • This is a varied administrative role supporting the school office and SEN team.  Tasks will include – but are not limited to – the following:
  • Providing reception and clerical duties.
  • To organise and manage pupil information on the IT system under direction of the Administration Officer
  • To produce in-house documentation – such as brochures
  • To maintain and manage office information systems.
  • To prepare and type correspondence on behalf of the school.
  • To answer the telephone and relay messages in a polite and efficient manner
  • To welcome visitors to the school and follow important and appropriate safeguarding tasks, with support and training

Wage

£136.50 (£3.90 per hour)

Hours

35 working hours per week / 44 weeks of the year

Monday – Friday 08:30 – 16:30 (includes a one hour, unpaid lunchbreak each day)

Information about the school

Reculver Primary School is part of Aquila, the Diocese of Canterbury Multi Academy Trust. We are also part of the Coastal Alliance Co-Operative Trust as a partner school. We are a high achieving school with high expectations, and as a result Ofsted judged us as Outstanding in all areas when they visited in July 2018. We are a friendly school by the sea with 17 classes, approximately 510 pupils on roll and we promote a caring, inclusive ethos. The school has a specialist resourced provision for VI and Cognition and Learning and we are committed to quality, inclusive education for all our pupils. The school has benefited from modernisation projects over recent years including a new administration block, new Early Years classrooms, an Year 5/6 block and enhancements to playground facilities which give our children opportunities to develop their social/interaction skills. We are lucky to have a wonderful outside area that we use to the full whenever possible. We are a happy team, who work together closely and the school has a real family feel to it.
