We have an opening for a Qualified Practitioner and are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about early years education to join our friendly professional team.

 

We are great believers in child-led learning and are looking for an organised, dedicated and caring practitioner to be able to observe and respond to children ‘in the moment’, as part of the observation, planning and assessment cycle.

 The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework with relevant experience within a pre-school/nursery setting.
  • Have some knowledge of ‘In the Moment’ planning.
  • Have a sound knowledge of child development.
  • Be willing to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Ideally hold a current First Aid qualification.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Having a Key Person role for a group of children, observing, assessing and recording their development. Liaising with their parents/carers.
  • Contributing to the provision of a stimulating environment and enhancing resources in line with individual needs.

 

 All positions are subject to an enhanced DBS Check.

 

Hours: Term time only:

Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays 9.15am to 1pm and 9.15am to 2.45pm on Wednesdays.

Desirable Qualifications: A relevant childcare qualification Level 3 or equivilant. Ideally will have up to date Child Protection and Paediatric First Aid.

Fledgelings Nursery is a pre-school situated in the hub of Grove Green, Maidstone.

The nursery is open term time only and welcomes children aged 2 years to school age.

We provide a fun, safe, stimulating and secure environment for children to learn through play and experimentation. Encouraging the development of independence, social skills and skills for the future.
