Lady Boswell’s C. E. (Aided) Primary School is a Church school. We are a caring and committed team, where the rights and responsibilities of pupils, staff and parents are valued. Our school is expanding, and we are looking to add to our loyal and long serving staff.

We are looking for a lively and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. Applications are particularly welcomed from experienced Teaching Assistants with an interest in SEND. A large proportion of this role will be working one to one or supporting small groups. There will also be three sessions in our breakfast club on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The successful applicant will be required to work 34.75 hours per week (Monday and Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7.45am – 3.30pm term time only).

The salary will be Kent Range 3 for 31.75 hours, £15,628 - £17,188 full time equivalent (which equates to £11,059 - £12,163 pro rata) and Kent Range 4 for 3 hours, £17,189 - £18,058 (which equates to £1,149 to £1,207 pro rata).

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Be someone who enjoys working with children
  • Have relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ3 in Learning Support/ Level 3 Teaching Assistant, NNEB) or relevant experience
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of good Key Stage 1/2 practice
  • Be a good team player, flexible and prepared to use their initiative
  • Be committed to their own professional development
  • Be imaginative, creative, very energetic and interested in moving on children’s learning
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Have good organisational skills
  • Have an interest in classroom display
  • Have regard to the Christian character of the School and its Foundation
