Do you have a passion for sports? Do you also want to work for part of the week in the classroom supporting pupils? If so this is the job for you!

Our fantastic sports assistant is off to pastures new and we require a new member of our team from late January/ Early Feb. Our school is well known for its successful sporting achievements and you would be supporting this ongoing success.

The role will involve some hours in the classroom (mostly mornings supporting all subjects directed by the teacher) and then a number of hours supporting/ leading/ arranging and running competitions, training and clubs. You would be led by our in house sports co-ordinator but there is a degree of autonomy in the role as well.

Flexibility is a must for this role and there are some days where a flexible end to your day is required. The role is offered at 30 hours per week with a usual start time of 9am. However the end time will depend on club and competition arrangements with the latest being 5pm on occasion. (Flexi hours will apply during these sessions with earlier finish times on non-club days).

We are looking for a keen individual with either a sports background or a teaching assistant background. The right candidate will be fully supported by the school in our aim to have the best sports provision on the Island.

KR3 salary range FTE is £15,628 - £17,188, based on 30 hours per week (at the starting salary of £15,628 the actual salary would be £10,658 per year approx. £871 per month before deductions).

A DBS check (police check) for this role is mandatory as are satisfactory references. Completion of the school’s in house child protection training and anti-radicalisation training are also a requirement of any job offer.
