The children, parents, staff and governors of The Discovery School are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our fabulous After School club team.

The successful applicant will be someone who has experience of working with children and loves to inspire and support them. They should also be a willing team player, highly efficient, flexible and reliable. Having or working towards an NVQ level 2 in childcare or equivalent is desirable.

We require someone who can work from 3.00 or 3.15pm until 6pm daily. The start date for this position will be as soon as possible.

Duties will include:

  • Working under the direction of the After School Club Supervisor to provide a safe, caring and stimulating high quality environment for children.

 

  • Assisting the Supervisor in organising a daily routine that meets the emotional, social, physical and intellectual needs of the children.

 

  • Building links and work in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to promote the well-being of the children.

 

  • Organising and developing craft activities.
