We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic individual to supervise children at our successful After School Club on three afternoons a week. The key responsibilities will be:

  • to ensure children’s safety at all time during the club and at pick-up time
  • to set up games and activities at the start of the club, to engage with children during the session, and to ensure the environment is left clean and tidy at the end of each day
  • to manage children’s behaviour during the sessions to ensure a happy and safe environment for all

The hours of work will be 3.75 hours per week from 3.15pm until 4.30pm on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, term time only (38 weeks per year). 

The salary will be Kent Range 3 (£15,628) pro rata, equating to £8.10 per hour.

Necessary requirements:

  • a Paediatric First Aid qualification (or a willingness to obtain this)
  • an understanding of Child Protection and Health & Safety procedures and a commitment to abide by these at all times
  • an understanding of basic technology

The successful candidate will need to submit to an enhanced DBS check prior to commencing employment.

We are a small village church school, at the heart of our community, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have 80 pupils taught in four classes: Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.

The school plays a very active role in the local and wider community and provides many opportunities for children to develop their talents and interests, whether this be in the sporting competitions we take part in or in our wide range of extra-curricular clubs.
