Part-Time EARLY YEARS Teacher – Maternity Cover

 

This role is to cover maternity leave initially from January until the end of Term 6 2019, although this may be extended. The days are Monday-Wednesday, 3 days per week, to work in partnership with another teacher who will jointly share the responsibility for the class. The vacancy is based in Early Years and will involve working in the Reception Class.

 

We are a one form entry primary school, with a family feel, which primarily serves the local community. As a school, we are fortunate to have a fabulous learning environment, including a performing arts room, computer suite and a great outdoor space. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere and with lots of support for staff.

 

Being an Early Years teacher is always special as the children are at the very beginning of their school experience, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has demonstrated consistently good/outstanding classroom practice

Information about the school

Goat Lees Primary School is a one form entry Primary School which opened in September 2013. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a special learning environment that aims to be at the ‘Heart of the Community’. As a member of the CARE Foundation Trust, we work closely with nine other primary schools across the Ashford District to provide support and opportunities for collaboration across our schools.

Our innovative building has been designed by a collaboration of experienced local headteachers and a nationally nominated architectural company which has created a beautiful space in which to stimulate learning. We have further enhanced our facilities by building a performing arts room with a large outdoor stage as part of our commitment to providing a broad and balanced curriculum.
