We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, forward thinking and talented School Office Administrator to support the effectiveness of our small, vibrant school. You will be an excellent team player, bringing with you flexibility, organisational skills, time management and IT expertise. You will have a ‘can do’ approach, and a passion to be an integral part of and a support to the wider team in making a positive difference to the learning and experiences of our children.

Energy and commitment, combined with excellent, administrative, customer service will be essential, as will the ability to multi-task whilst keeping a calm and warm disposition. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to relate equally well to parents, pupils, visitors and the staff team.

This role will suit someone with administrative experience; it would be an advantage if this were within a school setting.

We want to hear from you if you:

  • have experience of working effectively and with resilience in a busy school office showing exceptional multi-tasking, problem-solving and customer service skills
  • have experience of SiMs, word processing, spreadsheets, data bases and have an eye for detail or are confident and quick to learn new IT skills
  • have experience of managing school admissions and attendance
  • are capable of keeping systems up to date and ensuring compliance with required procedures
  • have an understanding of the vital importance of compliance with regard to safeguarding children in a school setting
  • Understand that an efficient office supports the core purpose of the school in achieving positive outcomes for children.

Our school has a positive and supportive staff team who work well together. We need somebody who would enjoy the challenge of being the ‘go to’ person for all things in the bustle of a busy day in our small village school!

Hours: 8.45am - 3.45pm Mondat to Friday, term time only. Final hours to be agreed with the successful applicant.

Lydden Primary School is a small rural village school catering for approximately 80 children between the ages of 4-11. Children learn in our four classes.
