Class Coordinator (Teaching Assistant Coordinator)
Full Time – 37 hours per week – Term Time Only – Permanent
Hours worked between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Kent Scheme 5: £15,280 for 39 weeks (including 5 weeks holiday pay) £9.36 per hour plus generous local government pension
As a Class Coordinator you would be responsible for coordinating, informing and advising support staff deployed in lessons to enable them to effectively support students' learning and provide high quality support for teaching and learning. In addition you will:
Successful applicants will have a good general education including GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above in English and Maths and will be supported to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (if not already achieved).
Experience of complex physical and medical needs is desirable however an aspiration to enable students to learn and achieve meaningful independence is essential.

Valence School is a KCC foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties from age 4 to 19. It is part of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust.
