We are seeking to appoint a Key Stage 2 teacher initially for a year starting in September 2018. The successful candidate will be joining a lively, enthusiastic and supportive team with many opportunities for continuing professional development. 

We are looking for a caring and and creative teacher who is an excellent classroom practitioner.  You must be resourceful, flexible, positive and motivated with a good sense of humour.  You will share our belief that all pupils can achieve and be successful.  You will have the ability to organise, inspire and motivate young people with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. 

Bower Grove is a modern, well-equipped school providing a highly personalised and structured curriculum. We have 12 pupils in a class with three learning support assistants. We offer a unique teaching and learning environment, committed staff and pupils and excellent career development opportunities.  The school caters for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and autism spectrum conditions.  Come and join a great staff team.

If you:

  • Believe learning skills should be fun.
  • Can plan lessons creatively for pupils who require personalised learning.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have some experience and enthusiasm for working with pupils with social communication difficulties and Autism, or a desire to learn.
  • Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Have strong emotional resilience.
  • Have empathy and understanding towards young people.
