We are looking to recruit an exceptional professional to manage all aspects of the financial and business services at the school.  The successful applicant will be part of the school’s Senior Leadership Team, manage the school’s finances, personnel, contracts and premises, including health and safety processes and procedures. They will be the line manager for the administration and facilities teams and will be required to offer comprehensive and strategic support to the Headteacher and leadership team.  The role requires flexibility, tact and problem solving on a daily basis. Therefore it is essential that the applicants are professional, approachable and very effective communicators.

 The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • strong financial and administrative background, with proven track record of financial management
  • evidence of successful management of a diverse team
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines

 Previous experience of working as a School Business Manager is an advantage but not essential.  We are seeking first and foremost someone with a strong financial background with a genuine commitment to helping us deploy the resources available to best possible effect in a school context.  Appropriate professional development and training will be available to address any skills gaps in the successful candidate.
