Challenge, fun, perseverance, commitment and team work are Langafel's values, are they yours?

Langafel CE Primary School needs a new School Business Manager to join our team.

Do you have a background in financial management, excellent organisation and communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines? Working in school is demanding and so you will need a sense of humour and perspective, to be child and adult friendly and to remain professional, calm and cheerful whatever the job throws at you.

We need someone who has experience of working in a school environment (or similar) ideally in a similar position with up to date experience of school finances, but relevant training will be available for the right candidate.

Experience of FMS6, BPS and CSBM or an equivalent qualification would be an advantage.

The position is for 37 hours a week during term time plus 4 weeks per year to be worked during the school holidays.

Information about the school

Langafel is a friendly, supportive, nurturing and inclusive primary school. Aspiration, confidence, perseverance, respect, enjoyment, honesty, teamwork and Koinonia are our values. We currently have two Reception Classes who work in a large inside and outside area with a flexible open plan space. Children in Key Stages 1 and 2 are taught in mixed-age classes allowing the perfect opportunity for collaborative learning and teaching. Our facilities are the envy of all other local schools and include a gym, swimming pool, performing arts room, kitchen, an extensive field and woodland area.

The schools specialist resourced provision, known in the school community as SLIC (Socialise Learn Interact Communicate) is for pupils with an EHCP who are diagnosed with autism. SLIC is made up of 4 classes, with children working across the primary age range, where appropriate pupils are supported to attend mainstream lessons. The pupils from the SRP make use of the wonderful facilities within mainstream. Additionally, within the provision the pupils benefit from four large well-resourced classrooms, speech and language rooms and a sensory room. They also have access to their own contained outside spaces, including a playground with sensory apparatus and a well-equipped enclosed area on the school field.
