Advert

We have a vacancy at our friendly and hard working school. Situated in the centre of Whitstable we offer all you would expect of a great junior school. The care and well-being of our children underpins all we do, and the maintenance of our site and its contents form a core part of that care.

We are looking for a positive, flexible  and hard working team member who can use initiative to drive forward our ambitious site improvement plan.

We need someone who can complete basic DIY tasks, oversee the work of contractors, work with a great team of teachers and support staff to make an environment we can all be proud of. Experience of Health and Safety, Fire regulations and Legionella would be an advantage, but full training would be given to the suitable candidate

If you feel you have what it takes to help us make a super site. If you take pride in your work and are motivated to keep a tidy well organised school building, we would love to talk to you.

If you would like more information or perhaps a visit to the school please call the school number and ask to speak to Mrs Amos.

Information about the school

Being located on the High Street and close to the seafront means we can take pride in being right in the heart of Whitstable, able to access the excellent facilities to enrich our children’s learning and play an important role in our local community.

We aim to be a truly inclusive school and our intake reflects the diverse range of socio economic backgrounds and wide range of academic starting points. We strive for high standards to enable all children to attain their potential and our recent outcomes, especially for disadvantaged children have been impressive.

We do work hard at maintaining high standards in key areas of the curriculum but we also place a very high value on other aspects of schooling including the wide range of opportunities through our focus on the arts, respect for other cultures and faiths, sport and visits to the many places of interest locally.

We have a very strong emphasis on mental health and well-being for all members of our school community, and are especially proud of our Well-Being Team and having gained the Carnegie Mental Health Award.

We have a great team with everyone working towards our vision to be a school that is considered excellent by all the people and groups that have a part to play in helping us achieve our success.
