Cornwallis Academy requires an inspirational Teaching Assistant who will work primarily with disaffected students and those with additional educational needs, who can at times display challenging behaviour. You will need to have the ability and confidence to motivate and encourage students who have emotional and behavioural difficulties and have an empathy and understanding of their needs.

As well as working with students in the Plaza learning environments, you will also be required to carry out one to one work with students, across all Key Stages and curriculum areas. This will be a rewarding post within an extremely supportive working environment. Previous experience of working with children with special needs would be an advantage and a Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.

The position is full time, term time only and is fixed term until July 2019.

The Future Schools Trust is a forward thinking, supportive organisation that is keen to develop staff to their full potential.

Only applications submitted by the school application process will be considered, we are unable to accept CVs.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure. Future Schools Trust is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. All members of staff are expected to share and adhere to this commitment.
