PSYCHOLOGY TEACHER

Part time (approx. 0.5FTE), permanent, MPR/UPR

We are looking for an exceptional teacher with a creative and inspirational approach to teaching Psychology, which is amongst the most popular subjects in our sixth form curriculum. The person appointed will be a dynamic, well-qualified graduate with the ability to teach across the ability spectrum - from those applying to Oxbridge to those who are striving to get a D. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and NQTs alike. The post is available from January 2018 but there is also the possibility of a later start. If a second subject for which there is a need in the school can be offered, there is the possibility for the post to be full time from September. For a suitably experienced candidate there is the possibility of Head of Department.

Manwood’s is a mixed grammar school that was graded Outstanding in all categories by Ofsted in April 2012. The school is situated in a rural area of Kent, near the beautiful coast line and several exciting seaside towns. House prices are significantly lower than those in most other areas of the South East. It is within 30 minutes of the channel crossings at Dover and Ashford and connections to London are excellent (55 minutes from Canterbury to London and the High Speed train has now made the direct connection from Sandwich to London much faster). The school was deemed Outstanding in all categories by Ofsted in April 2012.
